Accounting Technician Apprenticeship

Accounting Technician Apprenticeship

A National Apprenticeship leading to a Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Accounting

The Accounting Technician Apprenticeship is a new pathway to a career in business, accountancy and finance, where apprentices are mentored through a two-year, work-based learning programme.

Accounting Technician Apprentices work four days a week with the employer and study one day a week with the local college, on a two-year contract.

Apprentices get paid a salary of at least €19,700 per annum and their college tuition is fully funded by SOLAS. The programme leads to a Level 6 QQI Advanced Certificate in Accounting.

In September 2020, the programme will be offered in ten locations nationwide (Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Monaghan, Galway, Wicklow, Waterford and others).

The application process for the September 2020 programme is now open.
