Culture and Heritage Studies Local Training Initiative Course - 26th September 2022 to 15th September 2023.

The QQI Level 5 Major Award in Culture and Heritage Studies at the National Print Museum combines theory with practical training in tour guiding in our Museum.  It runs for 50 weeks, is funded by the CDETB and is aimed primarily at the unemployed. Please see poster with further details about the course and how you may apply. The course will run from 26th September 2022 to 15th September 2023.

Many of our graduates have gone on to work as guides within major sites around the city such as, inter alia, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Malahide Castle, EPIC, Airfield, IMMA, Teeling Distillery, Dublin City Culture Company (14 Henrietta Street)  as well as OPW sites such as Dublin Castle and Farmleigh. Former students have also gone on to higher education. In 2021, to our delight, our programme won an Aontas STAR Award for our efforts in supporting our students into further education at third level institutions such as Trinity College, UCD, DIT (TUD) and National University of Ireland Maynooth. In 2022, our programme was a finalist for the Aontas Star Award in the ‘Learner Voice’ category.
