We are seeking a CAD & BIM Lead to support the delivery of engineering design projects through effective management of CAD and model-based outputs. This role sits within the engineering team and focuses on ensuring high-quality, consistent, and coordinated drawings and models across all projects. Working closely with engineering leads and the BIM Manager, the successful candidate will oversee day-to-day CAD/BIM activities within the design office, supporting engineers and technicians in delivering accurate and buildable design information. Key Responsibilities: • Support the day-to-day running of the CAD and BIM office within the engineering team • Oversee drawing production and ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with company standards • Coordinate models and drawings with engineering teams to ensure accurate design outputs • Manage and support CAD technicians and design staff • Review drawings and models for constructability and completeness • Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and documentation standards • Liaise with the Digital Delivery/BIM team where required to ensure alignment of outputs • Assist engineers in developing coordinated layouts and design information • Identify and resolve coordination issues within design outputs Requirements: • 5–10 years’ experience in CAD/BIM within an engineering environment • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit • Solid understanding of engineering drawing production and coordination • Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams • Strong attention to detail and quality control • Ability to manage workload across multiple projects Desirable: • Experience in water/wastewater or infrastructure projects • Previous experience supervising or mentoring CAD/BIM staff • Familiarity with project documentation systems and workflows What we offer you: · The opportunity to join an ambitious and growing organisation. · Clear progression within engineering design support and leadership · Monday to Friday working week finishing early on Fridays. 22 days annual leave plus 10 bank holidays.
