Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Duties include general garden maintenance of Burren Court Senior Citizen's Complex and Community Garden, including keeping areas tidy and safe for the residents. Other duties vary with the different seasons and include grass cutting, weeding, growing fruit, vegetables and flowering plants. Planting up flower beds and containers. An interest in gardening, a willingness to work, participate in training and good time keeping are essential. Good command of the English language is essential as Participants interact with the residents of the complex.
