Our client, Staunton Foods Limited, based in Co. Cork, is currently seeking Electrical Maintenance Technicians for immediate start at their facility in Timoleague, Co. Cork. Qualifications: There are no minimum academic requirements. Training will be provided on-the-job. A minimum of 2 years’ previous experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician or similar is required. No formal qualifications are required for this role. General Duties / Responsibilities / Experience: - To provide preventative and reactive electrical maintenance within a meat processing facility - To work with electrical engineers and maintenance teams to perform technical tasks relating to the installation, testing, operation and repair of electrical systems and production equipment - To assist in the design, maintenance and modification of electrical installations and circuitry according to operational and safety requirements - To monitor the installation, utilisation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment to ensure satisfactory performance and compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations - Essential knowledge for the role includes electrical systems, control panels, motors, sensors and electrical equipment components used in a manufacturing environment - Candidates must have knowledge of electrical testing methods, electrical wiring diagrams and electricity principles - Essential skills include fault finding, aligning electrical components, applying soldering techniques and adjusting engineering designs - Candidates must be competent in ensuring material compliance, measuring electrical characteristics and performing test runs on machinery and equipment - Candidates must have experience in recording maintenance and test data, testing electrical equipment and reading technical drawings and blueprints - Previous experience providing electrical maintenance within a meat processing, food production or manufacturing environment is an advantage - 2 years of previous relevant experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician or similar role is required Annual remuneration: €42,000.00; Pay rate €20.71 per hour Work Locations: Staunton Foods Limited, Spittal Cross, Timoleague, Co.
