Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Slieve Felim Project Ltd is is a Community Employment Scheme whose aim is to support unemployed people develop new/update existing skills through training, practical experience, work experience etc.  The Slieve Felim Project covers the areas of Cappamore, Murroe, Boher, Doon, Pallasgreen and Oola and currently employee’s approx. 28 employees who work in a variety of community related roles.

Responsibilities to include: 
•	Grass cutting and strimming
•	Maintaining all the green areas in Cappamore, Murroe & Boher
•	Sowing shrubs and flowers
•	Weeding of all public areas (spraying and hand picking)
•	Litter picking of all public areas
•	General building maintenance
•	Painting and general duties
