Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
This position will be based in Dublin 8. Summary of duties: - Create a positive approach to children so that each child is encouraged to develop confidence and self-esteem - Communicating calmly and effectively with children - Assist children with their homework - Prepare food for children - Setting simple, clear limits and boundaries for children and ensure that these are followed - Supporting Team Leaders and other members of the team - Organising activities for the children - Cleaning and ensuring that the afterschool environment is maintained to a high standard - To participate in training relevant to the role of Afterschool Worker - Adhering to relevant health and safety as well as child protection procedures - Otherwise assist as directed - QQI Childcare Training provided.
