Empowering Health, Enriching Lives

About Us
Bud Healthcare is a provider of residential and supported living services for adults with disabilities and mental health support needs. Based in Drogheda and operating services across Louth, Meath and Longford, we support people to live full, independent lives in their own homes and communities. We are growing, and we're looking for caring, reliable people to grow with us.

The Role
As a Home Support Worker, you will support adults with disabilities and mental health needs in residential and community settings. Your day-to-day work will include:

Supporting service users with personal care, daily living skills and household routines
Promoting independence, choice and community inclusion in line with each person's individual support plan
Supporting people to attend appointments, activities and social outings
Administering medication in line with policy and training
Keeping clear, accurate records and reporting concerns promptly
Working as part of a supportive team on a structured roster, including some evenings, weekends and sleepovers/waking nights as required

What You Will Need
Full driving licence – essential. You will be driving service users to appointments and activities, so a full clean licence and willingness to drive company or service vehicles is a must.
Willingness to complete QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or Disability Studies. If you do not already hold it, we will support you to complete it – you'll be expected to make progress on your modules during your first year with us.
Experience in disability, mental health, healthcare or social care is an advantage – but attitude matters most. We welcome applications from people new to the sector who share our values.
Strong communication skills, patience, and genuine respect for the people we support
Flexibility to work across our Louth, Meath and Longford locations
Garda vetting and two satisfactory references (arranged as part of recruitment)
Eligibility to work in Ireland

What We Offer
€32,691 per annum (39-hour week)
Permanent full-time contract
Paid mandatory training (including MAPA, First Aid/BLS, medication management, safeguarding and infection prevention & control)
Full support and funding pathway to complete your QQI Level 5
Regular supervision, a structured induction and real opportunities to progress as we grow
A close-knit, values-led team where your work genuinely changes lives
