Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

This is a opportunity to gain experience as a Caretaker with a stepping stone to employment. This programme will give successful applicants the opportunity for practical work experience of 19.5 hours per week in conjunctions with training towards a QQI qualification in your chosen career. all training is funded through the programme 100%
Duties To ensure that the Childcare Facility environment is maintained at an excellent level to meet the full range of activities on offer within the Centre, covering building maintenance, security, ground maintenance, Health & safety. reporting any concerns to Manager / supervisor.  Arrange orderly and secure storage of chemicals and supplies. To maintain excellent levels of cleanliness and hygiene with regard to buildings, external walkways, driveways, playgrounds, car parks, and grounds.
To assist with movement of furniture and equipment within the Children’s Centre when required. To ensure that all equipment and tools associated with caretaking and cleaning are maintained. To maintain resources and equipment throughout the centre reporting broken items to the Supervisor/ manager.
