Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Duties will Include: TRY (Targeted Response to youths) is a project which supports young people to make positive lifestyle changes that divert them away from involvement in the criminal justice system by challenging their attitudes and behaviour. This work can include mentoring, training, education and employment support also some recreational and sporting activities.

Duties will include:
Act as Support worker to as part of Intensive Youth Outreach workers
Assisting with any activities, events & educational inputs with participants of the TRY Project
Build relationships with the participants that provides personal and practical support
Assist in keeping daily records, data inputs and signing in book
