Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

This position will allow the participant to gain experience in an environment caring for the laundry requirements of the Day Care Centre.  It will give the participant responsibility in caring for and looking after other people's laundry and the real-life experience of operating washing machines, dryers and a steam iron.  It also gives the participant customer service skills.  It also gives the participant the opportunity to maintain the flower beds around the center and courtyard and water them during the summer.
