Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Position Title: Cleaner (Community Employment – Developmental Opportunity)
This is a developmental opportunity, and no previous experience is required. Fully accredited training will be provided to support participants in developing skills and building a career in horticulture and grounds maintenance.

Duties Include:
•	General cleaning duties to include sweeping, hoovering, washing floors in the atrium area, and all other offices/rooms in the building. 
•	Cleaning and maintaining toilet facilities, 
•	emptying bins daily, 
•	cleaning interior glass panels, etc. 
The goal is to keep Deaf Village Ireland in a clean and orderly condition.
Key Requirement:
Irish Sign Language (ISL) is essential for this role. The successful participant will be working closely with members of the Deaf community, where ISL is the first language.
•	All participants will be expected to learn ISL
•	ISL classes will be provided as part of the programme
