Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Job Title: Community Employment Maintenance Worker
Responsible for maintaining buildings and outdoor areas to ensure they are safe, clean, and well-presented.

Main Duties
Building Maintenance
•	Carry out general repairs to buildings, furniture, and equipment.
•	Fix or replace damaged items, including light fittings.
•	Keep walls, doors, and indoor areas clean and in good condition.
•	Organise and improve storage areas.
•	Maintain tools and equipment properly.
•	Report major repair needs and arrange supplies with the Building Manager.
•	Follow health and safety procedures and complete risk assessments.
•	Work well as part of a team.
Grounds Maintenance
•	Keep paths, entrances, and outdoor areas clean and free of litter.
•	Assist with basic gardening and seasonal outdoor work.
•	Empty outdoor bins regularly.
•	Report any safety or maintenance issues.
Training & Development
•	Take part in relevant training.
•	Work with the team to address any concerns.
•	Identify opportunities to improve skills and future employment prospects.
