COMMIS CHEF

Location: The Eagle

Salary: €36,605 per annum

Hours: 39 hours per week

About the Role

The Eagle is seeking a Commis Chef to join our professional kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, cooking, stock management, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene within a busy hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

 Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items in accordance with company standards.

 Prepare ingredients including vegetables, meats, fish, sauces, and garnishes.

 Ensure food is consistently presented to a high standard.

 Support senior chefs during food service periods.

 Receive, check, and store deliveries appropriately.

 Assist with stock rotation and stock control procedures.

 Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout all kitchen areas.
 Follow HACCP procedures and all food safety regulations.

 Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.

 Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Requirements

 Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a professional kitchen environment.

 Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
 Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

 Good organisational and time management skills.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

 Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
