farrell Care Solutions Limited is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to act as Part-Time Clinical Governance Lead for our home support service. This important role will provide professional oversight and advice relating to the quality and safety of care and support delivered to service users in their homes.

The successful candidate will help ensure that our Home Support Workers are appropriately trained, competent and supported to provide safe, respectful and person-centred services. They will work collaboratively with the Service Manager, Directors, Compliance Manager and operational team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide professional clinical-governance oversight and advice.

Support the assessment and monitoring of Home Support Worker competency and training needs.

Advise on care-related risks, incidents, safeguarding concerns and changes in service-user needs.

Provide guidance when a service user’s needs may fall outside the organisation’s defined scope of service.

Contribute to the development and review of care-related policies, procedures and practices.

Support quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement.

Promote dignity, privacy, independence, choice and person-centred practice.

Support appropriate communication and escalation with healthcare professionals and the HSE.

Maintain accurate records in accordance with confidentiality and data-protection requirements.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

A recognised nursing qualification.

Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

Relevant post-registration nursing experience.

Experience in healthcare, community care, older-person services, disability services or home support.

Knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding, risk management, quality and patient safety.

Strong communication, professional judgement and record-keeping skills.

Legal entitlement to work in Ireland.

Experience in home support, community nursing, staff competency assessment, training, audit or healthcare management would be an advantage.

This is a part-time position of approximately 20 hours per week. The working pattern and flexibility required will be agreed with the successful candidate.

Appointment will be subject to verification of qualifications and NMBI registration, identity checks, two professional references, Garda Vetting and/or international police clearance where applicable, and medical fitness. A driving licence and access to transport may be required.
