Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Position Title: Meals on Wheels Delivery & Community Assistant (CE Scheme - Sick Leave Cover)
An excellent opportunity to join Mullingar Homecare services CLG team through WCP Community Employment (CE) scheme providing temporary cover for sick leave, offering 19.5 hours of practical work experience per week alongside 100% fully funded training toward a recognised Major Award qualification. Paying a minimum rate of €286.50 weekly (with potential extra allowances for dependents), duties include driving the company van to deliver meals to older residents, building positive rapport, reporting identified needs to the Manager, and assisting with light household and kitchen tasks. Candidates must hold a full, clean B driving license, possess local knowledge of Mullingar, show an outgoing and flexible personality, supply two written references, and complete the online Garda Vetting process.
