McAree Engineering requires multiple Maintenance Fitter roles for their premises at Ballinode, MONAGHAN, Monaghan, H18 K103. The salary range starts from €36,605 (18.05/hr) to €42,000 (20.71/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. Salary offered shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications. Job Description - Mechanical assembly of industrial units and sub-components Maintenance and repair of machinery and production equipment Use of hand and power tools including drills, grinders, torque tools, and cutting equipment Reading and interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions Bolting, fitting, aligning, and securing mechanical components Assisting with preventative maintenance activities Operating overhead gantry cranes and lifting equipment Supporting production and material handling operations Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures Maintaining quality standards and reporting defects where necessary KEY REQUIREMENTS Required Qualifications - Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical fitting, or industrial assembly environment Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability Experience using hand and power tools is essential Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions MIG welding experience advantageous but not essential Overhead crane experience beneficial; training may be provided Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team Good level of English preferred for safety and operational purposes Education & Skills Trade qualification or relevant mechanical experience desirable Manual handling awareness preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices Benefits Full training provided Overtime opportunities Supportive team environment Career progression opportunities
