We are looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter / Working Team Leader to join our busy joinery manufacturing team in West Clare.

This is a hands-on position for an experienced carpenter who will work alongside the production team while taking responsibility for leading and coordinating work on the factory floor.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in the manufacture and preparation of:

Internal door sets
Skirting and architrave
General made to measure joinery products
As Lead Carpenter, you will work as part of the team while also helping to organise daily workloads, maintain production standards and ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out hands-on carpentry and joinery work
Lead and support other carpenters and production staff
Allocate and coordinate daily work
Read and work from drawings, measurements and job specifications
Ensure products are manufactured to the required dimensions and quality
Oversee the preparation and assembly of internal door sets, skirting, architrave and stairs
Identify and resolve production or quality issues
Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
Help ensure jobs are completed within production deadlines
Promote a safe, organised and productive workshop

What We're Looking For

Qualified or highly experienced carpenter/joiner
Strong experience in internal joinery
Excellent knowledge of doors, skirting and architrave
Ability to read drawings and work accurately from measurements
Previous experience leading or supervising a team is an advantage
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
High standard of workmanship
Reliable, practical and willing to work hands-on with the team
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced carpenter looking to take on a lead role while remaining hands-on in the workshop.
