Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Intercultural Centre Clondalkin – Job Description

Administration Assistant

Working hours: (19.5hrs)
Afternoon hours Monday to Friday

Location: Intercultural Centre Clondalkin

• Welcome learners and tutors/volunteers to the centre

• Support learners, register, sign in and feel welcome

• Work as part of a team

• Participate in learning and reflective practice

• Answer the phone, take messages and communicate with others in the centre

• Provide general information to callers/clients on centre activities

• Assist in the upkeep/general cleaning of the centre

• Keep reception area tidy and maintained

• Deal with queries from the public and customers/clients

• Check with line manager regarding support in the setup of rooms for classes/courses/meetings

• Check with and assist the line manager regarding administration support for classes, courses, meetings

• General administration and clerical support

• Record data on the database for reporting

• Contact clients to make appointments and record appointments in Outlook Calendar

• Photocopying

• Schedule appointments: Meetings for Intercultural Centre Clondalkin – be aware of what meetings are being held where, when, duration etc

• Maintain appointment diary electronically

• Maintain and manage room bookings electronically

• Any other duties which may be required from by the centre line management
