Salary: €32,691 per annum (€16.12 per hour / €628.68 per week)

Role Overview

As a Health Care Assistant, you will provide personal care and daily living support to residents, including bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, and mealtimes. You will play a key role in helping residents maintain their dignity, independence, and overall wellbeing while ensuring their safety and comfort.

Under the direction of nursing staff, you will carry out all instructions relating to the direct care of residents, support the promotion of equality, and contribute to safeguarding at all times. You will also assist in maintaining residents’ interests, identity, and contact with those important to them, while offering companionship and emotional support to enhance their quality of life.

What We’re Looking For

QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent is an advantage. Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, together with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

Candidates should have the physical stamina to perform the duties of the role. A healthcare-related qualification is preferable, and prior experience in patient care is advantageous. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings, is required.
