Howden Tools and Garage Equipment Ltd requires multiple Mechanical Fitter roles for their premises at Killycrin, Bawnboy, Cavan, H14 K659.

The salary range starts from €36,605 (18.05/hr) to €37,000 (18.24/hr) based on a 39-hour week.
Salary will increase proportionately if additional hours are required.
Salary offered shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Job Description - Experienced Mechanical/Workshop Fitter required to join Howden Tools & Garage Equipment Ltd (Co. Cavan). The role involves repair, servicing and maintenance of a wide variety of garage and workshop machinery including vehicle lifts, small tools, generators, power washers, compressors, welders and other workshop equipment. The successful candidate will work as part of an in-house mechanical team, carry out customer site breakdowns and repairs, perform pre-inspection checks on new machines and provide customer support. On-the-job training will be provided by the experienced mechanical team. Benefits include company uniform, onsite parking, overtime opportunities and career progression. Full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday, with overtime as required.
Carry out planned service and maintenance of plant and machinery; service, fault-find and carry out breakdown repairs on customer premises; perform pre-inspection checks on new machines; provide customer support and assistance; liaise with the workshop manager regarding work scheduling and repairs; comply with company Health & Safety policy; maintain tools and equipment; diagnose mechanical and basic electrical faults and perform repairs to meet safety and performance standards.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications - Minimum of approximately 4 years' experience in mechanical fitting or workshop fitting preferred. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles. Experience with agricultural or mechanical equipment advantageous. Familiarity with tools and hardware desirable. Full driving licence essential. Good teamwork and customer service skills. Ability to work on-site at customer premises and perform fault diagnosis and repairs. Willingness to learn and accept on-the-job training.
