Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Duties will include: 
Assisting in the day to day running of an early years service. 
Supporting children with feeding, personal care etc. 
Supporting the learning experiences of the children by helping prepare the materials needed for their activities i.e.  art and craft activities. 
Take an active part in activities with the children and fellow colleagues i.e. circle time, snack time, song and story time, outdoor play. 
Training is provided to allow you to gain a FETAC Childcare Qualification and get relevant work experience in a childcare setting.
