Limerick | Permanent | Day & Night Shifts

We are seeking a motivated Process Technician to join a high-performing manufacturing team producing ophthalmic lenses in a highly automated environment. This role offers the opportunity to support production equipment, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to quality, safety, and operational excellence. Selected candidates may also provide calibration support during night and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and maintain automated production lines.
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimise downtime.
Perform fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, yield, and efficiency.
Assist with process optimisation and quality improvement projects.
Maintain high housekeeping, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to achieve production goals.
Calibration Support (Selected Technicians)
Provide calibration support during nights and weekends.
Perform calibration activities in line with approved procedures.
Record and report calibration deviations or non-conformances.
Maintain calibration records, databases, and instrument history files.
Support audits and drive the closure of calibration-related NCRs.
Ensure calibration equipment and standards are available and maintained.
Qualifications

Essential:

Level 6 or Level 7 qualification in:
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronic Engineering
Moulding Technology
Or a related technical discipline
Experience & Skills

Ideally, you will have 4-5 years' experience in some of the following:

Pneumatics
PLCs and automation
Equipment setup and changeovers
Pick-and-place systems
High-volume manufacturing
Packaging and print equipment
Mechanical maintenance
Injection moulding
Instrument calibration

Advantageous:

Electromechanical qualification
Time-served apprenticeship
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
