Driver Operations & Compliance Manager Location: Dublin 15, Co. Dublin Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role An established and growing transport operation based in Dublin 15 is seeking to appoint a Driver Operations & Compliance Manager to support the day-to-day management of its professional driver workforce. This is a hands-on operational role requiring a visible presence within the business. The successful candidate will work closely with drivers, management and operational teams to maintain high standards of safety, compliance, performance and professionalism across the fleet operation. This position would suit an experienced transport professional, fleet supervisor, transport manager, transport planner, driver manager, compliance manager or operations professional with previous experience working directly with HGV drivers. Key Responsibilities Manage and support a team of professional drivers. Maintain a strong operational presence within the depot and wider operation. Lead driver recruitment, onboarding and induction processes. Conduct driver reviews, investigations and disciplinary processes where required. Monitor driver performance, attendance and conduct. Ensure compliance with transport legislation and company policies. Support driver retention and employee engagement initiatives. Assist with accident and incident investigations. Maintain accurate driver records and compliance documentation. Work closely with operational management to ensure service standards are achieved. Promote a positive safety and compliance culture throughout the business. Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate will possess: Previous experience managing or supervising HGV drivers. Experience within transport, logistics, fleet management or related operational environments. Strong knowledge of driver compliance requirements and transport operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage challenging situations professionally and fairly. Strong organisational and administrative skills. Ability to build credibility and positive relationships with drivers and management alike. Desirable Experience Transport management experience. Knowledge of tachograph regulations and driver hours legislation. Experience with driver recruitment and onboarding. CPC qualification or transport-related qualifications. Full clean driving licence.
