About the Role 
Bidvest Noonan is seeking a Security Analyst to support the monitoring, analysis and protection 
of information security systems and infrastructure. The successful candidate will assist in 
identifying security threats, investigating incidents, assessing vulnerabilities and maintaining 
effective information security controls. 
Key Responsibilities 
• Monitor and analyse security alerts, events, logs and threat intelligence. 
• Identify, investigate and respond to information security incidents. 
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities. 
• Monitor and support information security technologies, including firewalls and IDS/IPS. 
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of information security controls and 
procedures. 
• Support security audits, risk assessments and compliance activities. 
• Prepare accurate security incident, vulnerability and assessment reports. 
• Escalate identified security risks and incidents in accordance with established 
procedures. 
• Maintain appropriate security documentation and records. 
Essential Requirements 
• A recognised Diploma or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, 
Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Network Security or a 
related discipline. 
• Relevant professional training or certification in cybersecurity or information 
security is desirable. 
• Relevant practical experience in security monitoring, incident response, 
vulnerability management, network security or information security. 
• Good working knowledge of security monitoring tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS and 
information security controls. 
• Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.

Education requirements
