Employer: Agility PEO (Ireland) Limited
Location: Field-based across Ireland, base location Co. Meath
Salary: €42,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm
Contract: Permanent, full time

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to carry out the installation, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of Intelligent Vehicle Systems, including vehicle-based hardware and communication systems, across bus depots and garages throughout Ireland. The role is field-based and carried out independently, reporting to the Operations Manager, with complex issues escalated where required. Travel across Ireland is required, including occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, test and commission vehicle-based hardware and communication systems
- Carry out routine inspections and planned maintenance of vehicle systems
- Diagnose faults at system and component level, working from schematics, circuit diagrams and technical documentation
- Carry out repairs at component level where practical, and replace units where repair is not possible
- Keep accurate service logs, maintenance records and operational documentation
- Manage the tools, spare parts and equipment used in field work
- Liaise with depot staff and suppliers to schedule work and resolve technical issues
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety and quality procedures

Essential requirements:
- Level 8 honours degree in engineering (for example mechatronics, electronic or electrical engineering), or equivalent
- Ability to read and work from schematics, circuit diagrams and technical documentation
- Practical fault-finding and diagnostic skills on electrical and electronic systems
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload in the field
- Full, clean driving licence valid in Ireland

Desirable:
- Experience working with vehicle electrical or electronic systems, or in a field service role
- Good communication skills for working with depot staff and suppliers
