Job Title: CNC Programmer	
Employer: Finn Precision Engineering Ltd
Location:  Carrickmaclim, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan.  A81 W602
Salary: €37,544 p. a.
Hours: 40 hours a week

Key Responsibilities
•	Create, edit and optimise CNC programs for turning and milling operations using FANUC controls.
•	Set up CNC machines, tooling and workholding equipment to ensure efficient production.
•	Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances to manufacture precision components.
•	Carry out first-off inspections and verify parts meet quality requirements.
•	Select appropriate cutting tools, machining parameters and production methods.
•	Operate and support CNC turning and milling machines to achieve production targets.
•	Troubleshoot machining, tooling and programming issues and implement corrective actions.
•	Use measuring instruments including micrometers, vernier calipers and gauges to verify accuracy.
•	Maintain accurate production and machining documentation.
•	Work closely with production personnel to ensure components are manufactured safely, efficiently and to specification.

Requirements
•	Experience as a CNC Programmer, CNC Machinist or CNC Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment.
•	Experience with CNC turning and/or milling operations.
•	Knowledge of FANUC controls and CNC machine setup.
•	Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances.
•	Experience selecting tooling, cutting parameters and machining methods.
•	Ability to use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers and vernier calipers.
•	Strong understanding of machining processes, quality standards and workshop practices.
•	Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
•	Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a busy engineering team.
•	Relevant qualification in Machining, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is advantageous.
