Job Title: Assistant Financial Accountant

Annual Salary: €47,000
Working Hours: 37.5 per week

Job Description / Main Duties
• Manage and maintain accurate accounting records across three entities using Sage, supporting the month-end closing process and ensuring that all financial postings are completed accurately and on time.
• Prepare and post accounting journals, including accruals, prepayments and other necessary adjustments, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the accounting records.
• Maintain profit and loss accounts and other financial records, bringing each entity to trial balance and ensuring that financial data is complete, accurate and properly recorded.
• Prepare, collate and report financial information, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports, and investigate and resolve variances or discrepancies where required.
• Perform monthly Balance Sheet and ledger reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure that accounts are maintained accurately and effectively.
• Monitor and maintain accounting records and systems to support accurate ongoing financial reporting and ensure that financial information is available to management when required.
• Support audit processes by providing accurate accounting information, responding to audit queries and ensuring that financial records and supporting documentation are properly maintained and organised.

Requirements
• Professionally qualified/part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA)
• Energetic team player with “can do” attitude.
• Excellent understanding of accountancy rules and requirements, while maintaining your knowledge of regulations that may affect the business and financial reporting.
• Strong planning and organizational skills a must in order to handle to wide scope and requirements of this role.
• Commercial mindset, problem solving ability and able to work on their own initiative.
