P. Boland Limited is looking for an experienced and reliable Plant and Tool Hire Maintenance Fitter/Technician to take responsibility for the maintenance, servicing and repair of our hire fleet in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. The hourly rate is €22, and the standard working week is 39 hours.

The successful candidate will ensure that all machinery and equipment is safe, well maintained and ready for hire, while helping to keep the workshop organised and running efficiently.

Main Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair plant machinery and hire equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Inspect equipment returning from hire and identify repairs required.
- Prepare and check machinery before it is released for hire.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Order required parts and help control workshop stock.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Keep the workshop clean, safe and organised.
- Identify problems early and minimise machinery downtime.
- Take ownership of the condition and readiness of the hire fleet.
