A Home Care Manager in Ireland oversees the day-to-day delivery of community-based and domiciliary care services, ensuring vulnerable clients receive high-quality, person-centred support in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Assessments: Conduct initial and ongoing needs assessments to design personalised care plans and manage service packages (such as Home Care Packages).
• Team Leadership: Recruit, induct, train, supervise, and motivate a team of community care workers.
• Rostering and Operations: Manage staff rosters, workflow, and service coordination across specific geographical areas.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure service delivery complies with national health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and organizational policies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, families, healthcare professionals (like HSE teams or GPs), and local community organizations.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Experience: Typically 3 to 5 years of experience in the home care or community care sector, with previous supervisory or management background.
• Education: A relevant health or social care qualification, commonly a QQI Level 6 in Health Services Supervisory Management Skills or a related discipline in Ireland.
• Skills: •  Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities, alongside familiarity with care management software.
.  Marketing and Community connections skills to promote the organisation's objectives.
