• Assist with the preparation, cooking and presentation of food according to the establishment's menu and standards. • Prepare ingredients including vegetables, meat, fish and other food products as required. • Follow recipes, portion specifications and food preparation procedures. • Assist senior chefs with daily food preparation and kitchen operations. • Maintain consistent standards of food quality and presentation. • Ensure food is prepared, stored and handled in accordance with food safety and hygiene requirements. • Follow HACCP procedures and maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene. • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment. • Assist with stock control, stock rotation and appropriate food storage. • Ensure kitchen equipment and work areas are kept clean and properly maintained. • Work efficiently and professionally during busy service periods. • Communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen and front-of- house teams. • Follow all company health and safety procedures. • Carry out other reasonable duties associated with the role of Commis Chef.
