Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Older Person Services Support Administrator

The Services Administrator will work closely with the Manager, co-ordinating the administrative tasks of the various projects and services under their remit.  These services include; Befriending, Care & Repair, Travel Assist, etc.  Duties can include liaising with our clients regularly, co-ordinating volunteers, administrative tasks associated with our older services, scheduling, requisitioning supplies, site visits and preparing reports.

The responsibilities of Services Administrator include:

• Incoming and outgoing call management
• Co-ordinating volunteers
• Organizing Care & Repair visits
• Planning and evaluating projects
• Creating PowerPoint presentations
• Tracking project participation in real time
• Keeping updated on compliance regulations
• Other administrative tasks as they present themselves


This role is developmental in nature and would ideally suit someone with an interest in caring for the older members of our community or perhaps studying toward a qualification in the area of community development, social care etc.  Given the sensitive nature of the role, processing of confidential information is anticipated and the individual will operate within our confidentiality policies.  Carrigaline Family support Centre are committed to ensuring our CE participants achieve meaningful experience and training on their placement and aim to be as flexible as possible to ensure same.  This role will be office based, 9 to 1 Monday to Thursday, 9 to 12.30 on Fridays.
