We are seeking to recruit an Assistant CE Supervisor on a 12 month rolling contract subject to approval from the Department of  Social Protection (DSP) to assist the CE Supervisor in the management of  St. James Community Employment Scheme and assist in performing all the duties and responsibilities for the Sponsoring Committee as outlined by DSP with regard to Community Employment Schemes. 
The Role:
* To assist in ensuring the effective and efficient management and co-ordination of the human, financial and material resources of the CE Scheme.
* Assist in preparation of financial returns .i.e. wage, material and training grant/claims.
* Assist in supervision, planning & co-ordinating the agreed work schedules for participants in the various work locations of the scheme.
* Provide effective supervisory cover in the absence of the CE Supervisor.
* Assist the Supervisor in sourcing cost effective training/development opportunities to meet the training needs of participants  
Essential Criteria:
* Have a reasonable knowledge and understanding of the role of the CE Assistant Supervisor in terms of the administration and day to day running of a CE scheme. 
• Previous experience in office administration, computerised accounts and payroll is essential. Skills in MS Office, spread sheets e.g. Word, Excel is essential.
• Skills relevant to people management through previous work experience. 
• Good communication skills and competent writing and reporting skills
• Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team and work well under pressure by prioritising tasks
• A relevant third level qualification (QQI Level 6 or above) in Business Admin /Financial Administration, Training, Human Resources or related disciplines. 
• Full current driving license with access to own vehicle.
• The successful candidate will commence on point 1 of the Assistant CE Supervisory wage grant funding scale unless currently working as an Assistant CE Supervisor. • Garda Vetting will apply to this position.
