Care Assistants will assist in the provision of care and work as part of a team to achieve required standards. Ensure, respect and retain the resident’s dignity, individuality and independence. Empowerment of the resident must be the primary objective at all times within this position. 

The role of the Care Assistant is to support Senior Care Assistants and nursing staff in the delivery of care to the residents of the Mooncoin Residential Care Centre. Care Assistants are required to be observant at all times and to communicate clearly with Senior Care Assistants and nursing staff with regards to residents needs/requirements. It is expected that all Care Assistants are able to prioritise 
their daily duties, while ensuring residents needs are met with the highest standard of care at all times. Care Assistants will be supported by Senior Care Assistants on a daily basis. 

Requirements:

FETAC Level 5 Healthcare Support or equivalent - desirable but not essential.
Have a kind and caring disposition.
Be committed to delivering a high standard of care at all times.
Possess excellent communication & organisational skills and an ability to work on your own initiative.
Be efficient and capable of working under pressure while ensuring attention to detail at all times.
Have good English.
Be permitted to work in Ireland
Interest in Activities would be an advantage
