The materials and inventory planner responsibilities include both demand management and inventory planning of specific product lines. They will plan inventory and coordinate the flow of materials to meet delivery expectations of forecasted and actual sales while minimizing inventory levels. The position will coordinate the shipment and logistics of all customer orders to meet customer demands and on time shipping metrics. Scope of Duties • Identify current and potential product shortages, develop and execute recovery, advise interested parties of status and recovery plans • Coordinate with Purchasing for availability of products • Coordinate material movement between supplier, warehouse and customers • Utilize Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) to ensure that data is accurate and up to date • Facilitate transmittal of customer orders to Suppliers and; serve as key contact for customer service inquiries • Maintain and update master files [ customers, suppliers etc.] including new item setup • Manage inventory levels to meet corporate goals • Coordinate and manage monthly cycle counts for all products and participate in annual physical inventory Qualifications required Ba in business or equivalent Multi Lingual desirable Excellent working knowledge of Exchequer essential Competency in JIT or Kanban systems desirable Excellent Customer service and communication skills required
