Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Positions (Mornings Only) will be based in Scallywags Creche, Carmelite Community Centre located on Aungier Street, Dublin 2.

Do you have a genuine interest in working with children and would like to develop a career in Childcare?

Duties will include the following:

- Greeting parents and children and welcoming them to the creche
- Assisting and supporting children with their development and needs
- Assisting with planning, preparing and delivering play activities for children
- Encouraging and supporting children with their interaction and engagement in activities
- Performing care duties for children to include changing and feeding
- Providing the highest standard of care towards the children in the Creche
- Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Working as part of the overall Creche Team and supporting the Creche Manager as directed.

Participants will be fully supported in working towards gaining valuable accredited childcare qualifications at QQI Levels 5 and 6.
