Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

This position is based in the National Maritime Museum in Dun Laoghaire. This building is steeped in Maritime History dating back to the 1800's.

Your duties will include meeting and greeting visitors to the Museum and bringing them on a tour of the building and telling them about the various exhibits on display such as the RNLI, RMS Leinster and Captain Robert Halpin exhibits, the Royal Navy Prisoners Dock and our extensive library and collection of Lloyds Registers and them allow them time to marvel at the spectacle that is the magnificent Baily Optic and many many more hidden gems.

You will also be involved in telephone answering, taking visitor bookings, admission and gift shop sales, and cashing up at the end of your shift.  

There will be regular weekend work and occasional evenings.
