2+ years experience in a similar cafe environment.
Responsible for morning set up and evening close down.
Highest standards of barista and milk foaming for all drinks.
Cash must be counted and recorded and balanced at the start of every day and close of shift.
Excellent standards of cleanliness and ability to organise and support a kitchen with high demands.
Commitment to high standards of cleanliness. HACCP rules must be followed
Adhering to all Health and Safety and Food Hygiene procedures.
Knowledge and proficiency in equipment maintenance and deep cleaning daily.
Systems and efficiency focused so working quickly to support customers needs.
Experience in training and managing other team members.
Stock intake and organisation.
Stock checked daily and weekly and any stock needed recorded on the whiteboard in advance of the days ordered and delivered.
Creating and managing all social media channels to drive further awareness and sales.
Ability to work under pressure.
Reliable and hardworking with flexibility about working hours.
An aptitude and desire to work on own initiative. Asks questions and feedback any ideas.
Excellent timekeeping abilities to achieve all tasks required to complete.
Support the other team members during busy service periods.
Assistance with miscellaneous tasks during the day which may be given to you by other staff members.
Kitchen support , washing dishes, loading and emptying dishwasher at a fast pace to keep them in sufficient rotation.
Ability to work at a fast pace whilst keeping a high standard of cleanliness throughout your work space.
Leaving the kitchen, shop floor and surrounding areas clean after service. This includes cleaning and mopping floors & other surfaces sanitised. Emptying bins , kitchen, rubbish, coffee and bathroom and separating correctly.
Meeting and greeting customers, we love a friendly hello and a chat with a customer.
Taking orders, preparing hot and cold beverages
Coffee must be measured and weighed. Must be hot.
Milk must be measured and avoid milk wastage.
Preparing sandwiches and other baked goods for eat in / takeout.
Following all operating procedures, making process improvements, initiative taken when it's needed.
Taking payments and cleaning as you go; clean, organised workspaces.
Fridge temperatures taken at the start and end of every shift.
Bathroom cleaned regularly.
All forms, fridge temps, cash sheets, bathroom checklists , opening and closing checklists completed.
