Key Requirements: * Experience in the care of farmed animals, including animals who are old, have disabilities and end of life care * Gentle and competent animal handling skills * Own transport and clean drivers licence * Live a commutable distance from Kells, Co Meath * Must be willing to work flexibly including weekends and bank holidays Work involves the daily care of over 200 rescued farmed animals including feeding, keeping their living areas clean, careful, gentle animal handling, administration of medication, record keeping, hoof trimming, tractor work, cleaning barns, transport to and from vet, reporting signs of illness etc. Previous experience of working with farmed animals is required. The sanctuary operates 365 days a year. Weekend and bank holiday work is expected. Work hours range from 32 to 48 hours per week. We are looking for Caregivers who are respectful of the animals and of our ethos as a vegan sanctuary. No animal products are permitted onsite. Good time management, a positive attitude, honesty, a caring nature, the ability to follow directions exactly, and good communication skills are required.
