This is a full-time role for a Leisure Attendant at The Apex Leisure Centre located in New Ross, Co. Wexford. The Leisure Attendant will be responsible for:

Fitness classes, gym and sports instruction and coaching
Programme planning, exercise prescription, supervision and monitoring for individuals and groups
Coordinating and planning fitness, and physical activity programmes, advice, and content.
Reporting attendances, measuring, and monitoring results and outcomes.
Pool Lifeguard supervision of swimmers and activities.
Water treatment, safety, and pool plant procedures.
Swim class instruction where applicable.
Pool deck, sauna, and steam room, and changing areas maintenance and cleaning.
Answering the phone and dealing with desk enquiries and point of sale duties.
Day-to-day tasks related to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of members and pay as you go customers, maintaining cleanliness of the facility, and providing assistance with various leisure activities.
Qualifications

Nationally recognised Fitness Instruction qualification is essential
Current Pool Lifeguard certification is essential
First Aid and AED Certificate is desirable but must be willing to acquire (training provided)
Swim Teacher qualification is desirable but must be willing to acquire (training provided)
First Aid certification is desirable
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player with a positive attitude
