The Everyman: Position of Cleaner – Job Description Purpose of the Role: The cleaner will work within a team to ensure that all areas of The Everyman are kept to the very highest standards of cleanliness for both the visiting public and all theatre staff. The following are key areas of responsibility for the Cleaner. • Sweeping, Vacuuming, dusting and washing of all floors, carpets, walls and other surface areas • Polishing and shining all glass, mirrors, pictures and brass surfaces. • Ensure that all toilet facilities are kept clean and all toilet supplies are replenished • Litter control and general housekeeping and cleaning around the building. The above duties shall be carried out in all the following areas: • Auditorium • Foyer • Box Office • Theatre Entrance • Back Bar Area • All Stairways, Corridors & Fire Escapes • Dressing Rooms • Green Room • Meeting Rooms • All Bathrooms • Theatre Boxes • Shops & Bars • All Offices • Board Room The cleaner will be expected to: • Adhere to all The Everyman’s policies and procedures. • Be fully aware and compliant with the Health & Safety needs of the building • Attend staff and other meetings as appropriate. • Identify training needs and attend and participate in training courses as necessary. • Participate in performance reviews • Keep accurate records in relation to all aspects of work • To undertake other relevant duties as requested by Theatre Management
