Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Position: Childcare Assistant  - Trainee role. 

Duties and responsibilities:
Work placement under the supervision of qualified staff in a childcare setting.
Support day to day activities in a childcare setting.
Planning and preparation of activities for children.
Supporting children’s interaction in planned activities.
Working with a team to provide play activities.
Attend meetings and training options to achieve qualifications in the sector.
Required sterilising and cleaning for a safe environment.
Garda vetting is required for this position.
