Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Duties to include: • Plan and prepare nutritious and child friendly menus in consultation with the Line Manager, staff and children • To liase with the Line Manager in relation to the budgeting and economical use of food supplies, ensuring an adequate supply of stock is maintained and food is purchased as required • To maintain hygiene and Health & Safety standards (H.A.C.C.P.) in keeping with current relevant legislation, regulations and best practice. • To work in a flexible manner in relation to the needs of the service, providing assistance to other staff as appropriate • To take into account any special dietary requests • To produce foods that offer choice, variety and diversity to the children • To keep appropriate food safety records • Take action when aware of unhygienic practices which may put the safety of food at risk • To carry out a risk assessment annually within your areas of work in collaboration with others Garda Vetting applies.
