Kilbarrack Coast Community Programme (KCCP)
Position: Youth Worker
Location: Kilbarrack, Dublin 5.
Type: Part-time

Kilbarrack Coast Community Programme (KCCP) was established in 1998 to provide drug treatment and
prevention services in the greater Kilbarrack area. In 2001, we launched our youth initiative, Youth
Matters, to help break the cycle of drug misuse through meaningful engagement and support for young
people. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Worker to join our team and
contribute to the ongoing development of our youth programme. This is a rewarding opportunity for
someone passionate about community work and youth empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:
 Build trusting relationships with young people in the local area
 Deliver and support prevention-focused youth programmes
 Facilitate group activities, workshops, and one-to-one support
 Work collaboratively with the wider team and external partners

Essential Requirements:
 Degree-level qualification (preferred) in Youth Work, Community Work, Addiction Studies, or a
related field
 Minimum 2 years’ experience in youth or community work
 Strong understanding of youth work principles, substance misuse, and community engagement
 Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
 Proficient in basic IT and administrative tasks

Additional Information:
 Garda Vetting is a requirement for this role
 Salary will be based on experience
