Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

 Catering Assistant -r equired to take the lead to work on own initiative in our Canteen & Kitchen area to cater for our students/visitors/corporate volunteers & staff who use the canteen. We are looking for a warm caring individual who will enjoy looking after & catering for our students with Down Syndrome & has a friendly disposition to the wider public.

Cleaning & Hygiene: To ensure the kitchen is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, the canteen is set up for break times, delph is washed after each break-time, cups are bleached weekly, tables cleaned, floor swept, fridges, freezers, oven cleaned out, dishwasher & barista machine is cleaned after use, stock is rotated, storage presses cleaned, laundry is washed & dried, bins emptied & washed. 


Baking/Cooking: The safe operation of the following equipment is required carry out this role e.g. electric hob, combo oven & microwave for cooking purposes. To make muffins/scones for our corporate volunteers & set up/clean down after their break times. At times there may be events onsite & some cooking of food items maybe required. The safe Cooking of food to HACCP standards is required at all times.


Documentation: Daily sign in sheet with temperature check, Cleaning checklist signed daily/weekly, shopping list for weekly purchases, stock inventory list & temperature checks of food items recorded.


Garda Vetting is a requirement for this role.
