A full-time role as baker is currently open with us at our small but busy bakery in Smithfield, Dublin 7.

Graham Herterich, aka The Cupcake Bloke, is a renowned Irish baker, cookbook author and entrepreneur. Graham is founder of The Cupcake Bloke and The Bakery, Rialto where he crafts a variety of baked goods that blend traditional irish recipies with contemporary flavours. He has authored two cook books - COOK and BAKE) which have been very highly received by critics, foodies and the public.
We are known for our sweet bakes - Mikado biscuits, brownies, tea brack selection, cupcakes - but we also bake a selection of soda breads and other baked goods. The role will involve baking these items which are sold in our shop in Rialto, Dublin 8, but also to corporate and private customers.

Previous food preparation and production experience is desirable, knowledge of baking and experience in a professional kitchen is an advantage. Training in or a good working knowledge of HACCP is desired.

This is a role which would equally suit someone with training (or some experience) in a professional kitchen or someone returning to employment as on the job training will be provided.

The successful applicant will work with us to produce a range of sweet and savoury products including cakes, scones, brownies, breads etc. Baking, decorating and finishing our products to the highest standard.

Working hours are a 36 to 40 hour week, in a 5 day roster covering Monday to Friday (occasional Saturday mornings). We are Smithfield, Dublin 7 based.

Rate of pay dependant on experience.
