Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

A CE vacancy has become available at Gabriel Lodge in Ahiohill. 
Bus Driver Role along with general Maintenance duties at the centre, inside and out.

·       Provide a collect and drop off service for clients and staff of Coolmine West Cork & Gabriel Lodge to day outings and to and from appointments in Cork city and county. 

·       Maintain high standard of cleanliness on the bus, in line with COVID19 protocols.

·       Complete and fill in a Bus Inspection form on every use of the bus.

·       Inform management of any faults or defects arising.

·       Ensure that the First Aid kit and Fire Extinguisher are kept stocked and in working order.

·       Safeguard the safety and wellbeing of both clients and staff on the bus at all times.

·       Reports to Coolmine Team Leader in West Cork. 

Person Specification 

·       Clean driving licence required.

·       Previous driving experience desirable. 

·       Two references &

·       Complete a Garda vetting application form.

Schedule:

19.5 hours per week over 5 days (Monday to Friday) as rostered by Team Leader in Coolmine.
