This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.


 The position is based out of out head office in M7 retail park in Naas, 
On a day-to-day basis, the participant will be mentored by an experienced member of staff.   Assist with the set up and fit out of pop up shops. Assist with choosing and merchandise stock at location.  Assist with the management of stock levels.  help manage and promote sales. Help with timely and co ordinated removal of stock. 
 
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP

Formal training will include :
Health and safety for retail 
Customer service for retail
Other formal training to be confirmed with the participant and what they wish to get out of the experience.

Inventory management. 
Shop displays and shop fitout 


We will also discuss what other training the participant will undertake to enhance the experience from  the position. This will most likely involve merchandising /fast fashion and sustainability studies.
