Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Assist in the day to day running of ADAPT Charity shop
•	Assist with the collection  and delivery of furniture 
•	Assist in the lifting and carrying of Furniture 
•	Assist in planning the route in an efficient and effective way  to ensure agreements with customers re scheduled times are met 
•	Monitor & Control the flow of furniture into and out of stores
•	Assist in displaying and storing the furniture securely in the van, shop and store at all time in a safe and accessible way at all times, ensuring that appropriate health and safety standards are maintained 
•	Dealing with customer queries, requests and complaints.
•	Dealing with sales, merchandising and display.
•	Choosing items for sale and recycle. 
•	Clothes tagging, rotation, washing and ironing. 
•	Cleaning, polishing and keeping a safe working environment. 
•	Working with a cash register 
•	Recycle unsuitable  stock 
•	Assist in cleaning, repairing and upcycling furniture to make it more
•	resaleable
•	Deal with donators and customer queries, requests and complaints and referring on to the Shop Manager.
•	Carry out the ‘Opening and Closing Check list’ daily  
•	Assist in organising  fund-raising events  
•	Participate in current fundraising activities e.g. (if required)
•	Promote the ethos of ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services
