Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
This is a development opportunity for a person in recovery from addiction who is interested in becoming a bike technician. No experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided in a state of the art workshop and retail unit with expert trainers. Access to a range of recovery service will also be provided. This initiative is run in partnership between Turas Training and Frontline Bikes. Training and Work Experience will cover the following areas: 1. Introduction, Health & Safety, Parts of a Bike, Workshop Etiquette, Tyres, Tubes & Puncture Repair 2. Remove and Replace a Cycle Rim Brake Assembly 3. Transmission – Remove & Replace a Cycle Gear Assembly 4. Service Cycle Hubs, cup & cone and sealed cartridge 5. Servicing Headset Assemblies including frame preparation 6. Service Bottom Bracket & Cranks including frame prep 7. Wheel Building 8. Strip and Rebuild, Full change of a cycle frame 9. Customer Service Skills
